Wedding venues are plentiful in New York's Hudson Valley, but which are the best?
Looking to get married in the Hudson Valley? There is GREAT news! You have tons of locales to choose from, the BAD news? You can only pick just one! Lucky for you, I've narrowed down your choices a bit based on rave reviews from brides that have experienced and now look back fondly at their chosen venue.
Let's begin! The first location that was mentioned repetitively among those that I've polled was FEAST at Round Hill. Located in Washingtonville, NY, this venue is set upon a 12 acre private estate complete with sprawling gardens to host your reception and a dining room that can accommodate up to 200 guests with plenty of room to dance the night away! One former bride writes " FEAST made our wedding something truly special and unforgettable. The venue is incredibly gorgeous and the food is fantastic. From the moment we first visited the venue, we knew FEAST was the right place for our wedding. The day of the wedding went without a hitch. Rose was our Maitre'd and she ran the whole day and coordinated with all of our vendors seamlessly. Our guests were able to explore the beautiful grounds throughout the evening and raved all night about how great FEAST is. We couldn't agree more." The positive reviews are a plenty, so this venue should absolutely be on your "must see" list!
The next venue that was commonly mentioned during my polling was Villa Venezia of Middletown, NY. Imagine a beautiful Italian chateau right here in New York! This venue offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony space. The outdoor space being super charming as it offers two locales on the property; one offering a stunning green landscape beneath a mature willow tree. The second being an elegant stone patio with picturesque waterfalls. There are sooooo many locations for truly stunning photography on this property. One former groom writes: "If you're considering an event in the Middletown/ Hudson Valley area, my wife and I highly recommend this extraordinary venue. We had searched the Hudson Valley, Northeast PA, Connecticut, Southern Tier NY, and North Jersey areas far and wide. Villa Venezia and their staff were the only ones that met our standards and expectations. Thank you Villa Venezia for making our wedding day and reception a day for all to remember."
Not only is Villa Venezia clearly a destination venue, it also recently constructed a separate venue across the way called The Barn at Villa Venezia and HOLY SMOKES is this place GORG! The Barn at Villa Venezia is everything that you could want in a barn style wedding without the cobwebs and hay bales! Rustic, elegant, and charming are a few of the understated characterizations of the property. If you want all of the incredible service that has been consistently offered by Villa Venezia but with a modern barn twist this venue should be at the top of your list!
Now, if you would like to add a totally unique venue to your list, allow me to introduce you to City Winery of the Hudson Valley located in charming Montgomery, NY. The building itself is historic as it evolved from a 130 year old textile mill to its current life as a fully restored urban winery. All of the character of the beautiful old mill has been retained and updated to perform as a truly unique, upscale and trendy venue space. This space is truly spectacular! One former bride writes "Overall, I think it was a great place to have a wedding and I received many compliments on how nice the wedding was. The venue is absolutely beautiful. There were so many great places to take photos. The food was delicious!" Do yourself a favor and have a look at this place!
If you are looking for a venue that is straight out of a Hallmark movie then this is your place (literally!), have a looksie at the Stagecoach Inn of the most adorable little town, Goshen, NY. This venue is small but mighty in its charm, service and food! The structure at the center of the building dates back to 1747 and was built with materials from the land. A long, charming history is evident in all of the small details of this recently revitalized Inn. With plenty of tent space on the South and West lawns and beautiful indoor atrium space, this venue is an absolute MUST SEE for your wedding. A former bride reviewed the venue and had nothing but great things to say: "We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day. The team love what they do, staff is excellent, food was amazing! We loved everything that we experienced. The property is so beautiful, you don't need much decor, each room has such personality and uniqueness. We can't wait to go back for a little escape. Such a memorable weekend!" I especially love that not only can you be married here, but you can return for a stay for every anniversary to follow in one of their beautifully appointed guest rooms.
Finally, this list would be incomplete without mention of Brotherhood winery of Washingtonville, NY. The winery dates back to 1839 and is the oldest operating winery in the United States. The stonework is enough to make you fall in love from the moment you rest your eyes on the place. Walking inside, your eyes widen upon realizing the old world charm offered by the exposed wood beams, towering ceilings, 10 foot round antique wrought iron chandeliers and hand-crafted wood floors. Outdoor events are stunning while held upon their grand English cobblestone patio with stunning stone fountain. A former bride noted "From the first time I saw photos of Brotherhood Winery I said to myself 'this is where I will get married'...and yes, that was before I even had the ring! My husband and I got engaged while on a trip in London in April of 2017 and had Brotherhood booked as our venue by the beginning of May. We went to see it in person once and we were sold. Breathtaking would be an understatement. I can confidently say there was not one hiccup during our wedding day, at least none that I was made aware of... which goes to show of great the staff are! If you're looking for a rustic, yet glamorous wedding venue, with an amazing coordinator, Brotherhood Winery is definitely your spot!" This is surely a destination to check out for your wedding.
The best part about this list? ALL of these venues are close enough in distance to one another where you can make a day out of touring each of them giving you a truly well rounded view of which venue might be best suited for you. Remember that your venue is ultimately the foundation upon which you build the rest of your wedding day upon and I truly hope that one of the venues that I have presented to you today is the one where you marry your very best friend and make memories to last you both a lifetime!
